About Us at Echo Hill Sport Horses

Echo Hill Farm is a family operation located in Louisville, Kentucky, 60 miles west of Lexington's thoroughbred country and home to Churchill Downs. Owned and operated by Christopher and Echo Hill FarmKaren Babcock, the farm is situated on 28 acres of partially wooded and rolling ground abundant in wildlife and over looking Floyd's Fork and the Echo Trail valley. Our love of Thoroughbreds is not unique in a part of the country where racing, eventing, fox hunting and pleasure riding are deep rooted in everyday life. It was with the purchase of the of our stallion Blue Eyed Streaker that our passion for the Thoroughbred and the desire for the unusual came together. This amazingly beautiful and kind stallion is now the focus of our small breeding program, and our goal is to develop, promote, and produce beautiful horses for show, sport or pleasure.

Blue Eyed Streaker trained and raced in Texas, and was one of two loudly colored colts by the solid colored stakes placed stallion Blue Gazi. The other colt,
Tri Chrome, was euthanized early into a promising racing career and was never bred. "Streaker" is a true gentleman, and has become a part of our family and daily life.

As with any breeding program, we strive to select our mares to produce correct, athletic and beautiful types, and will continually seek to improve our breeding stock. We invite you to view our site, and welcome questions and comments. Please check back for updates, and enjoy your visit!
